Myself and my partner started taking lessons with Andy at the start of the year with the goal of building confidence and fitness in mind. Coming into it, I had not much sporting experience and lacked a lot of confidence due to my complete lack of coordination… I also suffer from POTS, so was nervous about finding a coach that understood my limits.

But Andy took all of this in his stride and has always gone above and beyond to ensure that tennis is an accessible and enjoyable sport to train! He works at my pace, whilst still understanding how he can push me to grow and improve. He is always willing to adjust the lesson to account for my fitness limitations and offers explanations/demonstrations that really click for me.

Since starting my tennis journey, I have noticed an astronomical difference in my play - I was a complete beginner when I came to him. I’m fitter, faster, more accurate, more confident and improving after every lesson. I have also seen a massive improvement in my POTS symptoms - when I first started, I would have to rest every other minute… but now I take two brief breaks in an hour lesson.

Andy’s lessons have quickly become one of the highlights of our week - if I could, I would do more! Bonus is that he deals with my lame jokes!!
